American Roulette

An American roulette table has a spinning wheel with 38 slats. The individual slats are numbered from 1 to 36 and coloured red or black with 2 special slats coloured greeen and market with 'zero' and 'double zero'.
This is the main difference between American and European Roulette, European roulette only has a zero and 37 slats.

To play the game players have to try and guess the numbered slat in which the ball will rest after the roulette wheel has been spun. The players are able to bet on the outcome or a series of outcomes before the wheel is spun.
When the wheel is spun the ball is thrown into the wheel, ewventually when it settles down the ball will come to rest in one of the numbered slats, this is the winning number. Every number has an equal chance of winning and al lthe slats are identical in size and shape.

The Betting
Most people think that this is the most difficult part but in reality it is very simple. There are 2 type of bets available 'Inside' and 'Outside' Inside betting usually involes the player betitng on an individual number or group of numbers on the inside of the table.
Outside betting normall consists of placing abet on the outerlimits of the table on odds or even or hi/low numbers.
